  Since April 2020, Players were eagerly waiting to be back on field. July 4th 2020, they did. On the day, they were greeted with overnight rained wet outfield, cloudy, humid weather. Possibility of the game looked slim but the enthusiasm and willingness to play the game by soaking out all the water was abundantly visible. At Sano International Cricket Ground 1 and 2, 44+ players did their best for few hours. Finally in the noon, 2 scheduled games at SICG were called off.
The scene was not so different on Sano3 ground. Div3 match between AQCC and Tigers was moved to Sano4 which was considerably in better condition. After a lot of work put in by players, the ground was deemed okay by Umpires to play without reduction of overs.
Earlier in the week, JCA released the guidelines to ensure player safety. JCA representatives, Alan and Dhugal had few words with all Teams at each venue to explain about the guidelines and ensure everyone stays safe.

JCL Div3 League Round 1: AQCC vs Tigers
Off Spinner Vikram Ragunathan’s personal best bowling figure 6 for 8 handed AQCC thumping victory over Tigers XI. Tigers were allout for 80 runs in 33.4 overs. AQCC reached the target in 18th over with loss of 4 wtks. This Off-spinners spell of 6.4-3-8- 6 is one of the best in the Division 3 league.

Japan Cup T20 : Tokyo Falcons vs Tsukuba
Bowling unit of Tsukuba is something every opposition in their group will take note of. The way they had consistency in line length, bowling to their field set up ,meant Falcons had to work hard to chase target of 129 run. 49 runs were needed off last 5 overs that is when Tsukuba bowlers stepped up their game and gave away only 23 runs in 5overs. Falcon batman could not accelerate as there was plenty of swing and miss in last over.
