A perfectly balanced squad of West Kanto hurricanes beat East Kanto Sunrisers by 8 runs to win their first maiden Japan Premier League Cricket title. With 3 teams tied up on 4 points, the run rate ensured the Hurricanes and Sunrisers spot in the finals. Hurricanes had a brilliant run in the tournament with the bat. Defending champions South Kanto Super kings grabbed the 3rd sport by beating Kansai Chargers by 13 runs. Kansai and North Kanto Lions had their moments in the competitions.

Japan Premier League Cricket Final game Short Report
In the Finals, the Hurricanes set a target of 141 runs to Sunrisers. Vinay Iyer led the batting with 39 (36), well supported by Shogo Kimura 16(21), Shubham Shukla 15(9), Raheel Kano 16(22) Wataru Miyauchi 19(17). Sunrisers were let down by the bowling line up who gave away 24 wide’s and overall contributed 31 extras to Hurricanes total. Sunrisers had hope with Sarfaraz Petkar in the middle who scored 50 (40) once he was out, lower-order big hitter did their best but fell short of the target.
Last year winners South Kanto Super Kings had a disappointing tournament and were mainly let down by batting in the first half of the tournament.
