Sano Cricket Ground 1 is one of the smallest cricket grounds in Japan. This is a high-scoring venue near the River edge due to the synthetic wicket and a lightning-quick outfield. Dense bushes and wild plants surround the field. Fielders must watch whenever 4 or 6 are hit; otherwise, a team could quickly lose more than 4-5 balls in an innings.
Sano Cricket Ground 1 Pitch & Bowlers Run-up
Synthetic mat on top and a cement base underneath, this pitch produces consistent bounce and pace. The bowlers may find run-up to be uneven and often needs a rework. The best balance could be found at SICG Cricket Ground.
Sano Cricket Ground 1 Equipment’s Location –
Tent, boundary markers, scoreboard, and other equipment are stored in a shed built near the Sano 3 ground. On a match day, teams bring the equipment and once the match is finished, players must return the equipment back to the shed.
Restroom Availability
This ground has no portaloo restroom nearby so it could be quite inconvenient for male and female players. This is probably the biggest drawback of this venue.
Car Parking
Bringing cars inside the ground is not permitted, so players need to park the vehicles on the roadside.
