Fuji Cricket Ground later named Fuji International cricket ground is based near the riverside of Fuji river. Another venue Fuji Cricket Ground 1 is adjacent to this venue. The nearest railway stations depending on your choice of the train are Fuji and Shin-Fuji (for riding Shinkansen). From station to The venue by Taxi it costs around 1500~2000yen. it is better When you arrive at the venue, you shall see 2 cricket grounds with a synthetic wicket in middle, 2 nets for practice, and a container for goods storage. 2 hard wickets are available for training but are mostly used only on match days. JCA has appointed Jarrad Shearer as Groundsman who is responsible for maintaining the facility. Since 2020 , this has been home ground for Tokyo Wombats Cricket Club.
Ground development began in 1990 when the newly formed JCA became an associate member of ICC. Even though 90% of the players were based in Tokyo, the passion to play cricket often found them taking train, shinkansen, car travel to Fuji. Initially, the wicket laid was a Hard wicket. When Cricket expansion began JCA started looking for other venues and founded a base in Sano.
All the equipment such as tents, boundary line markers, Scorecards, chairs is stored in the Container. Container is guared by tradition lock( not the number lock). Make sure that you pickup the keys if you have booked the venue and need to use equipments in the Storage area.
