Tigers North Kanto T20 XI had a set back in 1st game against Sano but came back stronger against a good opponent like MIB to score 166/7 in 20 overs. Tigers aggressive start of 51/0 in 5.4 overs, with Ankit Thakur 28(20) and Pranjal Thapliyal 35(24) had MIB on backfoot and pressure showed in the form of sloppy fielding and bowling.
After the first partnership, middle order was anchored by Bharat Chugh 37(28) and lower-order batsmen supported well. In the end, Tigers managed to put on a par score of 166.
Chasing 167, MIB had a decent start of 81/1 in 10 overs. MIB needed consistent momentum but Pamal P Utham and Sachin Thakur dented MIB hopes with disciplined bowling. Pradyumna Deshpande and PA Patil bowled well to take middle-order wickets. Ameya Keshkamat’s decision to take rest dented MIBs hope further. Ankit bagged 3 wickets to wrap up MIB innings for 147 runs.
The game looked to be in balance in till 10th over. Target of 86 runs in 10 overs proved too much in the end as they fell short by 19 runs.
